Day Two: Lessons Noted
I pounded at my alarm clock, finally shutting it off when I accidently hit the off button. I was excited for my first day of training as a Merchunary. I tried to wake Martin up to guide me to the classroom. Not even a glass of water on his head so much as stirred him. Thank goodness the mention of food brought was sufficient in this case.
Having eaten, we arrived at the classroom. As if to compliment the toolbelt we received during our presentation yesterday, we were also given a grappling gun. But instead of a lesson as I expected, our teacher Dunban told us to search the nearby wilderness for ‘food notes.’ He said these were essentially tickets to our next meal, and without them, there would be nothing beyond breakfast for us to eat. I had to leave Martin in search of notes as he seemed… sleepy.
